A Spring Valley woman is
Willful Fire Charges. Police say
Barbara Desilva started the fire at the Golden Acres Adult Home in Tuesday
Spring Valley, where she lived with the intent of harming another male resident.
Desilva is charged with second degree arson and attempted second degree murder.
She is being held in Rockland County Jail on $ 100,000 bail.

State police say a fight in a Monticello apartment led to one
Burglary, then an attack and gunfire.
Soldiers tell News 12 the
The home invasion took place in an apartment complex on Harmony Lane on Friday when two
Men broke into one of the units. They say Andre Fogo and Rachain Wilson who are both out
Monticello forced himself into the house to confront a resident about one of them
previous argument. Both
Men beat the resident when a second resident entered the apartment
opened fire with his legal weapon and beat Wilson. The state police say the men ran away
and drove to the Catskill location at Garnet Health Medical Center in Harris, where a soldier caught up with the couple. Wilson was
treated and released with injuries that were not considered life threatening.
Both men were charged
with crime, burglary and being held on bail in Sullivan County Jail.

A fire ravaged a house in
Congers on Tanglewood Court.
The crews arrived and found the house on fire. News 12 is told that the fire started in the closed back
Porch and then spread home. No injuries were reported.
