(KNSI) – A Monticello man is jailed and charged with strangling a woman at a south St. Cloud hotel in November.
Police say a woman called 911 November 17th to say that she and 29 year old Michael Flavin had gotten into an argument and he choked her so hard she passed out, and when she came to, she wasn’t sure exactly where she was. According to the criminal complaint, the woman had bruises on her neck and allegedly told police she was afraid that Flavin would “beat her up worse in the future.”
Flavin had managed to evade police since then and they didn’t know where he was. He was arrested Sunday and booked into the Stearns County jail and charged with three counts of felony domestic assault.
